Foundation by the Yard by Sharon Hultgren for Benartex Panel includes foundation patterns for 12 – 10″ blocks, instructions for piecing, and fabric requirements

Number of panels needed for a quilt:

1 panel + 12 blocks + 3 blocks across, 4 block down = 30” x 40”

2 panels + 12 blocks + 4 blocks across, 6 blocks down = 40” x 60”

3 panels + 36 blocks + 6 blocks across, 6 blocks down = 60” x 60”

5 panels + 60 blocks + 7 blocks across,8 blocks down = 70” x 80” (4 extra)

Remember that each block uses ¼ yard of fabric plus the center and corners.

The quilt can be made larger with borders
