- Heatex batting is a heat-resistant polyester batting used as an insulating layer in household items like pot holders, oven mitts, and ironing board covers, offering excellent heat protection by absorbing heat and maintaining a soft, flexible feel. Key properties include its 100% polyester composition, a softening point around 220°C, a melting point of about 260°C, and a degradation point of roughly 300°C, which make it suitable for projects requiring thermal resistance.
